Who we are & what we do

 

The Hull Flooring Company Limited was established in 1977 as a family company operating in East Yorkshire. We developed, expanded and became a nationwide contractor to a range of commercial sectors. A management buy-out in 2005 ensured continuation of direct relationships with long-standing clients and leading manufacturers of flooring materials.

 

Accreditations

 

We are committed to provide a qualified and skilled workforce having trained all on-site staff to NVQ 2 floorcovering with the addition of UKATA Asbestos Awareness, First Aid at Work, Safety Passports and SSSTS. Each operative holds a CSCS Skilled Worker Card. In addition, sites are managed by Project Managers who have CSCS Manager Cards gained from achieving NVQ 6 in Construction Contracting Operations Management along with either a NEBOSH General Certificate or SMSTS qualification.

We hold accreditations from organisations who are SSIP members (Safety Schemes in Procurement). Assessment by a member of SSIP has been specifically highlighted as a key route to health and safety certification in the 2013 edition of the Government-backed construction pre-qualification document PAS 91.

 

Our Partners

 

We are members of the Contract Flooring Association, Carpet Recycling UK & Recofloor. Since 2010 we have recycled over 100 tonnes of vinyl tiles and sheet through Recofloor. In acknowledgement of our achievements, we have received numerous awards and currently hold Gold and Long Standing Service Awards. Since 2012 we have also recycled in excess of 40 tonnes of carpet tiles through Carpet Recycling UK.
