Reception, restaurant and stage areas reimagined, flooring designed to handle the excitement.

Why this space matters

The CBeebies Hotel isn’t just any accommodation, it’s part of a wider CBeebies experience.

Reception is where all the excitement begins, with a restaurant for families reset between busy days in the park and a stage area where children sit wide-eyed, fully immersed in the moment.

These are high-traffic spaces are full of buggies, suitcases, food service and constant movement. The flooring has to cope with volume while maintaining a bright, seamless finish that supports the design.

This is not just a floor...

It’s where the magic starts.

Go Outdoors - Hull Flooring

The brief

Hull Flooring was appointed to:

  • Uplift existing finishes

  • Prepare the subfloor

  • Replace floor finishes to match the original printed design

  • Complete all works during the hotel shutdown period

The key requirement was precision. The new installation needed to align exactly with the existing visual concept, including accurate pattern matching across the large open areas.

Making it work

Works were completed by a three-man team over 15 days, carefully programmed to fit within the hotel’s closure window. Preparation as always was critical. The team installed Ardex smoothing compound to ensure a consistent, level base before applying F Ball adhesive and fitting MX Display G-Floor. Cold welded joints were used throughout to create a seamless, durable finish suited to high footfall hospitality environments. Matching the printed sheet design demanded accuracy. Every line and join needed to sit correctly within the wider scheme. There is no room for guesswork in a space like this. Sequencing and coordination ensured everything was delivered within programme, allowing the hotel to reopen exactly as planned.

The result

734m2 of refreshed flooring, delivered on time and ready for reopening.

The reception, restaurant and entertainment areas now offer a clean, vibrant finish that supports both durability and design intent. Most importantly, all works were completed during shutdown with no disruption and no impact on guests. Just a space ready to welcome families  through the doors.
