A premium finish, delivered under pressure – flooring fit for fans, functions, and first-class hospitality.
Why this space matters
The Circle Restaurant at the MKM Stadium plays host to fans, sponsors, and private events, offering a high-end hospitality experience at one of Hull’s most iconic sporting venues. Whether it’s matchday buzz or a formal dinner, the space needs to feel elevated, modern, and welcoming, with a floor that looks sharp and performs reliably under pressure.
This is not just a floor...
It’s where game day becomes a great night.
The brief
Hull Flooring was appointed to replace the existing carpet in the Circle Restaurant, which was no longer fit for purpose. The client wanted a more modern, hardwearing alternative, opting for Polyflor LVT in a herringbone layout to create a clean, contemporary look.
The full space measured 300sqm, with a tight one-week turnaround — all to be completed within a two-week stadium shutdown between fixtures and functions.
Making it work
The key to success was precise scheduling. We worked closely with the stadium’s management and other trades to plan our works down to the day, ensuring the floor was completed in time for the next home match of the season.
After uplifting the old carpet, we prepared the subfloor using latex smoothing compound, then installed the LVT in a herringbone pattern for added impact and flow. The new surface not only transformed the aesthetic, but also offered improved durability and ease of maintenance, perfect for a space that serves hundreds of guests at a time.
The result
The restaurant reopened on time, ready for kick off with a refreshed, high-performance floor underfoot. With no delays, no disruption, and a premium finish delivered in just a week, Hull Flooring played our part in helping the stadium get match-ready in style.
